Every job has a process, and it could be quite daunting investing in services that you’ve never used before. If you have never used a Graphic Designer, the process is as follows.
This is where we meet. We will talk about your business and general conversation. I will get to know you, your business and start to understand your personality, which will go a long way in designing something that would cater for both you and your business. We will also discuss your target market, and whether you’re targeting businesses or consumer.
A graphic designer without research is a graphic designer falling short of potential. At this point, I will search your competitors design identities so I have a rough understanding of the market and what is has to offer in design. Once that is complete, I will do some Mind mapping & Brain storming. This is important, as it will allow me to manipulate what your business is about.
We are into our first stages of design, which has a process of its own.
1: I will sketch up some rough ideas
2: I will find fonts to suit your business identity
3: I will design your logo in black and white
4: I will put a few variations together, followed by a bunch of colour schemes (including my opinion)
5: I will send you the artwork for revisions / approval.
6: In most cases, there will be back and forth communication until we can sign off on an approved design.
Production / Launch
This is the final stage before invoicing. If the artwork requires print (Stationery, signage etc…) then it will be put into production. If it is a design only artwork (Logo, Web banners etc…) then the artwork will be sent in the correct formats for your use.
